Clarendon Primary School is nestled along side the tree lined Roberts Road and boasts exceptional facilities, offering a wide range of choices in sport and cultural activities. Clarendon provides quality education in a three tier academic system.
1. Main Stream
Learners are catered for in small classes from Grade 1 to Grade 7. The average class size in the Main Stream is 24, with Grade 1 having an average of 18 learners per class.
2. Remedial Unit
The Midlands Remedial Unit has amalgamated with Clarendon to provide children with learning difficulties specialized teaching within a Main Stream school. Special hand picked remedially trained teachers instruct the remedial classes of 12 learners per class. Being a short term remedial unit, learners with barriers to learning are placed in the Remedial unit for a period of two years and thereafter they are integrated back into Main Stream. The Unit also has a Speech and Language Therapist and an Occupational Therapist.
3. Partially Hearing Unit
Clarendon also caters for learners who have hearing loss. Once again a specially trained teacher together with the Speech Therapist sees to the educational needs of these learners.
At Clarendon we strive to help each learner to gain in confidence whilst developing the whole child, academically, physically, culturally and spiritually. Each learner has the opportunity to excel which in turn leads to higher self esteem and all round achievement. Our school motto "TO SERVE WITH LOVE" epitomizes the character of the learners, staff and parents.
